  • Skills USA

    17 Students from McDowell County Career & Technology Center recently competed at the Skills USA West Virginia State Leadership and Skills Conference at Fairmont State University on April 13-15, 2018. Skills USA is an annual State and National event to showcase Career & Technical Education's finest students. Of the 17 competitors, McDowell County had 2 Gold medalists, 5 Silver medalists, and 3 Bronze medalists. The state Gold medalists will compete at the Skills USA National level in May in Louisville, Kentucky. Click on the link to view our team photos.

    On December 18th, McDowell County Board of Education members recognized McDowell County Spelling Bee winners Miranda Branham-Sandy River Middle and Isaac Fowler-Anawalt Elementary. Also recognized were McDowell County basketball and cheerleading first place champs from Kimball elementary school. #County Strong
