  • Making a Difference for the Ronald McDonald House in Charleston

    Kimball Elementary is proud of the students who collected pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House in Charleston, WV. The total amount of pop tabs collected was 200,000! Landen Williams collected 55, 187 pop tabs which was the most by any single student.

  • The Spring Fling Penny-a-vote Contest

    The Spring Fling Penny-a-vote Contest brought in $2,584.67 with only 16 participants. Congratulations to all of those who participated!

  • Thank You For Your Help

    Kimball Elementary would like to recognize our students who participated in Jump Rope for Heart and assisted in raising more than $1000 for the American Heart Association! These students will receive awesome “Thank You” gifts plus other special rewards at school for their participation. The student raising the most money and receiving the top collector ribbon was Jameson Shaban who collected $150. Thank you to all who donated and made this event such a huge success!

  • Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports @ Kimball

    Kimball Elementary is excited about our PBIS Behavior Program! We want to recognize and reward students who follow the rules in class and in the school environment. We will be looking for four specific behavior areas. We are looking for students who are responsible, safe, respectful, and fun to be with at school.   • McDowell County Lil’Superheroes Fair

    On April 28, 2017 McDowell County host an event for families and children ages birth to five. It will be located at the Welch National Guard Armory. For more information regarding this event, download our pdf flyer.

    3. We believe in setting high goals and expectations based on a standards focused curriculum for all students.



    1. Kimball Elementary School 3rd – 5th grade reading and math proficiency scores will increase to meet or exceed the state proficiency rate as measured by the WV Statewide Summative Assessment.
    2. Kimball Elementary School will create a positive school culture and build positive relationships as measured by the Spring Climate survey results.
