  • MCS Summer Learning Camp!


    We are now registering MCS students PreK-12 for our WILD About Summer Learning Camp! Camp will be held the last two weeks of June and the last two weeks of July. Students will participate in half-day instructional groups focusing on hands-on reading and math lessons to support prioritized grade level standards. They will then transition to half-day interest camps! Meals and transportation (main lines) will be provided. Field trips and guest speakers will be provided as well! Who knows we might even see a few WILD animals along the way! Click on the link above to complete the registration for your student.

    McDowell County Schools is excited to announce a partnership with Sibme! Sibme is an online video coaching and collaboration platform designed to improve professional practice. Users including teachers and administrators can record from mobile devices and quickly upload videos to their secure Sibme cloud Workspace and Huddles. Recording, uploading, and sharing video to improve professional practice has never been easier. The mission of this product is to help teachers and administrators grow professionally and make every moment a teachable moment! McDowell County Schools will host a staff huddle to explore the possibilities of Sibme for all teachers and administrators on October 5, 2021, at 6:00PM.
