Delegations May Choose to Address the Board Through the Following Two Ways:

1.  IN PERSON:

Any person or group of persons wishing to speak as a delegation shall register by signing a form provided by the Superintendent no less than 15 minutes prior to the commencement of a meeting of the Board of Education in which he/she/they desire to address the Board of Education. In order to permit others with different concerns to speak and to use the limited meeting timely efficiently, associated persons with similar concerns should appoint a single spokesperson rather than speaking individually on the same topic.

All such persons registered to speak as a delegation shall be given no more than 5 minutes to address the Board of Education.

2:  ON-LINE:

If you would rather address the Board virtually, please send an email to Wanda Thomas (wrthomas@k12.wv.us) 15 minutes prior to the start of the meeting. Put "Delegation" in the subject line and include the following information:

  • Name of Individual/Organization

  • Mailing Address

  • Phone Number

  • Brief statement regarding the nature of your request

  • Indicate whether you have spoken to the principal, director and/or superintendent prior to this request and if so, list whom

You will need to click the  MCS icon above to join the meeting. Refer to the agenda for Delegations.  Your microphone will be unmuted while you address the Board. The Board will listen to your concerns, but cannot engage in dialogue since it's not on the Board agenda for discussion.  Your concerns will be investigated by the appropriate person.
