2024-2025 School Year Registration Information
McDowell County Schools and Coalfield CAP Head Start announces screening dates for students entering school for the first time for the 2024-2025 school year.
Your child must accompany you at the screening appointment.
Please call (304)656-7076 (Head Start Office) to schedule your appointment time on the date listed below for your school.
The school will not be able to schedule appointments. All children ages 3 and 4 enroll through a single point of entry process into our Universal Pre-K Program. We cannot wait to meet you and your child!
A copy of the Enrollment Registration Application can be picked up at any elementary school site, Board of Education, Head Start Office or call 304-656-7076 and a folder can be brough to your home. Print a digital copy of the forms as well using the link on the left side bar.
You must bring the following documents to your appointment:
Social Security Number
Medical Card Case Number or Private Insurance Policy Number
Birth Certificate with Seal
Up to Date Immunization Record

Current Dental Record
Proof of Income
