March 11-31, 2025
Since we are losing an hour of daylight this weekend with Daylight Savings, we will shift each SCHOOL SCHEDULE forward by one hour. This will allow for extra daylight in the morning hours for safety on the roadways. Please note this will mean that your child's school will start ONE HOUR LATER in the morning and your child' s school will release ONE HOUR LATER in the evening.
Please use this schedule starting Tuesday, March 11-31, 2025.

Families,
As we prepare to bring students back to school SAFELY we will need to share plans with you over the next few days. The first is that on Monday, March 10, 2025 we will operate on a TWO HOUR DELAY. This plan uses our current start times for each school.
We will post updated route changes that are based on the safety of the road conditions for each area. We have worked diligently with the DOH and Transportation Office to change routes according to current conditions. We will re-evaluate those at the end of March and make necessary updates at that time. The routes will be posted tomorrow on Friday.
Our dedicated drivers ran practice runs today to make a final plan for time adjustments, identify safe turn around spots, and etc.
We have additional plans that we will also share for you as DAYLIGHT SAVINGS starts this weekend meaning we will lose sunlight in the morning hours when buses are traveling. We will share our plan to adjust school schedules with you by one hour as well starting on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation. We know our students, staff and families have suffered tremendously. We are working hard to ensure that we put SAFETY first.

Due to the loss of instructional time from the flood, all students in grades 9-12 should complete their assigned Aleks Math assignments & any additional SAT Prep and ELA coursework posted by teachers on Schoology. This will help ensure students stay on track with their learning. Teachers will be on site for support.

Due to the loss of instructional time, we are asking all students in grades K-8 to complete at least 3 i-Ready lessons this week in both Reading and Math. These lessons will help students stay on track and continue building important skills.
If your child is in need of support teachers will be at the school sites :)

MCS will be closed until further notice. The safety of our MCS family is our top priority. We are actively monitoring the situation and working closely with emergency officials. We will continue to update as soon as we have more information. Take care and stay safe.

MCS will operate on a THREE HOUR DELAY on Thursday, Feb 13, 2025.
